AGE RESTRICTION

Permission to shoot at the Buffalo Revolver & Rifle Club venue is at the discretion of the Range Officer. We encourage participants of all ages, but those incapable of handling the equipment in a safe manner will not be allowed on the firing line. Anyone under the age of 17 must be accompanied by a parent or adult.

SAFETY RULES

You will be required to comply with all range safety rules at all times. If in doubt, ask the Range Officer on duty. Safety is, and will always be, the most important factor whenever anyone is at our range. We will not tolerate any unsafe acts, conditions or allow members of their guests to break any of the rules. YOU WILL BE CALLED BEFORE THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND LOSE YOUR CLUB PRIVILEGES.

As a firearm owner/user, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR ACTIONS.

Our range is overseen by a person that will ensure that all the safety precautions are followed and to supervise safe shooting activities and range operations. That person is called the Range Safety Officer. All our range officers have been certified through either the NRA, CMP or both.

RANGE RULES & PROCEDURES

  1. The Range Officer or the person assuming responsibility for the safe conduct of the firing line will inspect each firearm on the line to ensure that all firearms are in a clear and safe condition. Each station has been equipped with a “SAFETY FLAG” which shall be placed into the action of the firearm before anyone is allowed down range.
  2. There will be no handling of firearms or ammunition when anyone is down range. All persons shall stand behind the red painted line on the floor and away from the firing line when persons are down range.
  3. There will be no shooting from the front of the stations unless approved by the Board of Directors.
  4. When there are two or more shooters on the line, one shooter or the Range Officer, will assume responsibility for the safe conduct of the firing line.
